Axient is looking to fill a Tools and Parts Attendant position to support our customer at Marshall Space Flight Center. The Tools and Parts Attendant is responsible for preparing and arranging materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage; moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products; operating or tending pipelines pumps and valves to transfer liquids; driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment; and using scoops, hand trucks, and wheelbarrows to load and move materials.
SCHEDULE: This a 9/80 schedule position. 9 hours M-Th. 8 hours on Friday. Off every other Friday.
Daily Task include but are not limited to the following:
Required Experience/Education: (i.e.: Knowledge, skills, abilities, software, etc.)
One year of experience in a related field is required. Computer proficiency is needed to enter data into our customers software/databases.
Preferred Experience: (i.e.: Knowledge, skills, abilities, software, etc.)
3 years of experience as a tool and parts attendant
Experience working in NASA’s parts databases. Software used includes Visual, Cribmaster, Globodox, and CostPoint.
Work Environment (office, lab, test stand etc):
Performs work in an environment situated near by a manufacturing / machine floor.
Area is not free from noise or loud machines.
Physical Requirements (ability to lift X amount of weight, sit or stand for long periods of time etc):
Works on a computer, sits or stands for long periods of time.
This position regularly lifts up to 40 lbs when assisting with shipping and receiving with or without an accommodation.
Operates a forklift and regularly works outside in various weather conditions.
