Axient is seeking an Acquisition Support professional to join our team in El Segundo, CA. 

This is for a newly awarded 5 year $150 million program supporting the Space Sensing Directorate of the USSF.

 

Space Sensing is one of five SSC program executive offices and is responsible for delivering space-based MW/MT/MD capabilities; space based environmental monitoring (SBEM) capabilities; and other tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, ensuring end-to-end mission integration

 

** Work is on a Hybrid schedule (3/2) with some roles fully remote - dependent upon customer requirement. Clearances required range from Secret to TS/SCI**

What you will do...

  • Supporting Materiel Leader (ML) with acquisitions in Mission Payload (MPL) activities for cost, schedule and performance.
  • Supports the NGG MPL Section Chief with managing the IPT daily functions including hardware integration and test, and flight software management.
  • Develop and update documents for Program Execution, leading integrated product teams, staying engaged in PMR related activities, and communicating with contractors who are stakeholders in MPL developing and delivering products to the Government.
  • Support contracting actions, Statement of Work (SOW) writing, competition analysis, and operations acceptance.
  • Support in the execution of resilient space sensing architectures, acquisition documents, technology demonstrations and product development to ensure compliance with technical requirements on the contract.
  • Provide technical acquisition and program planning in evaluation of space sensing program solicitation technical documentation, System Engineering Plan, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, and contract deliverables for compliance with DoD and SSC policies, guidance, and instructions.
  • Assess whether acquisition plans, acquisition strategies, capability documents, and solicitation documents are accurately reflected in the technical aspects of the programs as defined in the system engineering plans and technical requirements documents, compliance standards and all applicable management plans.
  • Analyze space and ground system program plans, current development, test and evaluation, upgrades, operations and sustainment, and program requirements in compliance with applicable Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force and SSC instructions.
  • Ensure contract technical requirements are performed and in compliance with for space, payload, and ground systems.
  • Participate in formal program reviews.  Provide findings and updates to Space Sensing leadership and assist with briefings up the leadership chain.

Skills you will need...

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in DoD acquisition logistics, system life cycle management, sustainment, and transition
  • Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (DoDI 5000 series)
  • Integrated Life Cycle Management (AFI 63-101/20-101) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as INCOSE
  • DAWIA Certifications, such as Program Management Level 1, Life Cycle Logistics Level II
  • MILSATCOM space operations
