Position will serve as a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Subject Matter Expert (SME)  and engineer within the PEO MS Integrated Fires Test Directorate, within the Strategic Planning Division.  Knowledge of PEO MS organizations, programs, Air and Missile Defense (AMD), and other SMEs is desired to support long-range Integrated Fires Test Campaign (IFTC) planning across multiple PEO MS Project Offices and with external T&E WIPT stakeholders.  Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:  IFTC planning (coordination of test schedules and test architecture design), IFTC documentation, Integrated Fires T&E WIPT support, support of the Integrated Fires Flight Test Working Group (FTWG), support of target planning and management, and future THAAD and IBCS integration testing.  

What you will do...

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports
  • Creating test plans and detailed step-by-step test procedures to satisfy requirements
  • Supporting the Test Director in the execution of highly complex tests according to approved procedures
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met by analyzing data to determine customer satisfaction
  • Developing mitigation strategies for identified issues and following up to ensure problems are resolved
  • Providing Test Department Manager with timely information and periodic reports pertaining to the overall status of all assigned projects Finish
  • Participating in integrated product teams in formulating, establishing and coordinating customer requirements
  • Developing and delivering briefings to senior stakeholders across all project phases
  • Prospective Test Engineers should be creative, have good problem solving skills, and work well under stressful situations.

Skills you will need...

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must possess an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level, prior to starting work.
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Engineering related discipline required.
  • 10 years of tactical systems related experience, including live testing, data collection, analysis, scheduling, and instrumentation of tactical systems, subsystems, targets, and environment.
  • Experience working in defense or government user experience projects.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
