This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

The Operations Security Analyst provides operations security supporting the Space Systems Command (SSC) at Kirtland AFB, NM. The DoD Space Test Program (STP) provides mission design, spacecraft acquisition, integration, launch, and on-orbit operations for the maximum number of DoD experiments, consistent with priority, opportunity, and available funding.

 

[Note: This is NOT a Cyber Security Engineering role]

What you will do...

  • Supports OPSEC for the Space Systems Command (SSC) with a focus on Critical Information Lists (CILs) and the Operational Security (OPSEC) plan based upon changes in technologies, threats, vulnerabilities, risks, operations, countermeasures, and capabilities.
  • Assist in Kirtland Air Force Base facility security access, operational management of visitors and assigned personnel through the maintaining, publishing, and distribution of the SSC OPSEC plan.
  • Review SSC Collateral Security Continuity Book and recommend changes.
  • Create checklists outlining processes for collateral security.

Experience with the following desired: 

 

RAM(Random Antiterrorism Measures)

DISS( Defense Information System For Security)

VAR (Visit Access Requests)

NATO and how to do foreign travel 
Processing 2875's and 2587's
Familiar with Velocity badging system .

 

Skills you will need...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Required). 6+ years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement..
  • Minimum 3-10+ Years in Operations Security including but not limit to developing/maintaining/monitoring OPSEC program, conducting OPSEC content reviews, and knowledgeable in developing OPSEC Critical Information List.
  • Familiarity with Space System Command (Formerly Space and Missile Systems Center) procedures highly desired
  • Excellent and detail-oriented organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills required
  • Advanced-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook highly desired
  • Must have an active and transferrable DoD TS/SCI security clearance with current investigation at the required level.  Must be able to maintain the required clearance
