Axient is seeking a Logistics Manager (USAF Aircrafy Armament/Bomb Racks) to support our customer in Warner Robins, GA.

What you will do...

Duties to include, but not limited to: 

  • Applies the knowledge and experience to provide acquisition logistics support associated with armament systems and associated support equipment.
  • Provides knowledge and experience to develop life cycle logistics documents, such as the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan.
  • Performs logistics support activities and applies knowledge and experience in annual resource allocation forecasting processes wherein assessments are gathered and recorded.
  • Performs equipment custodian duties, IAW AFI 23-101. Duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining required training, managing assets under their control, performing inventory inspection, submitting allowance change request, validating authorizations, reporting excess authorizations, ensuring items are on-hand and serviceability/condition is properly recorded, identifying critical requirements through functional area managers, and conducting annual floor-to-book and book-to-floor inventory of assigned equipment account.
  • Plans, evaluates and implements program acquisition strategies.
  • Develops and manages program schedules and program plans.
  • Coordinates with customers across multiple services and commands.
  • Provides knowledge and experience in funding, forecasting, programming, and budgeting using new and existing databases and software; maintaining cognizance of the status of approved, deferred and released funds.
  • Provides knowledge and experience in performing various cost estimating activities in support of all program phases including, but not limited to, most probable cost estimates; cost analyses concurrent to the acquisition process; economic analyses; and probabilistic cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk assessments.
  • Provides support to budgeting processes include Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case development/closure and Integrated Weapons System Management processes.
  • Achieve Defense Institute of Security Cooperation Studies (DISCS) FMS Level II equivalence within one year through mission unique training provided by the Government.

Skills you will need...

Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level.  Must be able to maintain the required clearance.

  • BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD environment
  • OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 5 of which must be in the DoD environment
  • Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing.
  • Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and process related to their area of expertise.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines.
