Axient is seeking a Configuration Management Lead to join our team in El Segundo, CA. We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the SATCOM Capability Integration office managing a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure. This position is full time on-site (no hybrid) but does have some scheduling flexibility.

What you will do...

  • The candidate will lead test efforts to ensure interoperability of multiple systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a collaborative work environment of small teams tackling the challenges of integration and transitioning complex communications systems to operations.

Skills you will need...

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field. 
  • Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM)
  • Expert knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and CDRL development process
  • The CM Lead will maintain data in 5 environments: TopVue, Livelink, Confluence and Jira, as well as the classified Lab and SIPRNet.
  • Knowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973 and MIL-HDBK-61
  • Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015-2-STD
  • Demonstrated leadership of configuration management team, including managerial and supervisory
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in defining, documenting, and instantiating the configuration management process for programs and projects, including recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office  Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
  • 10+ years of configuration management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience directly supporting DoD personnel on space programs
  • An active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position

The following additional skills and experience will also be evaluated:

  • Familiarity with information technology (IT) and/or database management
  • Hands on experience administering DoD Acquisition Management
  • 5+ years’ experience with SATCOM systems, preferably MILSATCOM

  • Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level.  Must be able to maintain the required clearance
