Check out this NEW Opportunity with Axient!

Axient is seeking several Electrical Engineers (Robotics) to support the development, design, test, and manufacturing of electronic Motion Control products and systems. These positions are primarily located in Altadena, CA, with additional locations in Boulder, CO or Hyattsville, MD areas.  Given that these are collaborative, laboratory-based roles, remote or hybrid is not an option.

What you will do...

Support a multi-disciplinary project team collaborating on multi-board designs through development, and eventually transitioning a flight-ready product to the manufacturing and test engineering teams.

  • Embedded system design, including: Schematic Capture and PCB Layout, Digital, Analog, and Mixed Signal Design
  • Board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN)
  • Controlled impedance for high-speed channel design (SpaceWire, 10GbE, SerDes)
  • Linear and Switch Mode DC/DC Power Conversion
  • Documentation (Test Procedures & Reports, Interface Control Documents, ECOs)
  • Design Analysis and Simulation (WCA/WCCA, Reliability, Radiation, Spice)
  • Cable and Wire Harness Design
  • Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI)
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

Skills you will need...
