Dynamic Concepts, LLC (DCI) is an Axient Subsidiary specializing in engineering and software services for government (NASA and DoD) and commercial applications.

We are looking for a Senior GN&C Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team supporting the development and analysis of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket in Huntsville AL 

What you will do...

Regular tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Mathematical modeling of GN&C and launch vehicle or spacecraft subsystems (propulsion/engines, TVC, RCS, mass properties, aero, slosh, flex, environments, dispersions, etc.) in a 6DoF simulation environment
  • Analyzing vehicle dynamics associated with launch vehicle or spacecraft
  • Configuring and executing high-fidelity 6DoF simulations
  • Performing 6DoF Monte Carlo simulation and statistical based analysis
  • Performing GN&C design and analysis of launch vehicles or spacecraft
  • Reviewing and providing comments on technical documentation
  • Generating detailed analysis reports / slide packages and presenting / communicating results to customers.

Skills you will need...

Basic Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Candidate must have at least MS+10 years (or PhD+8 years) of direct experience in the following areas:
    • 6DoF modeling and simulation
    • Monte Carlo simulation and statistical analysis
    • Guidance, Navigation or Control
    • C/C++ programming
  • Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville – North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area
  • Candidate must be willing to travel up to approximately 5% of time
  • Candidate must show proof of US Citizenship

Desired experience

  • Familiarity with NASA programs and requirements
  • Guidance, Navigation, and Control
  • C/C++ programming language
  • Python scripting language
