Axient is seeking a Requirement Engineer to support our customer in Huntsville, AL. 

What you will do...

The PIR requirements engineer will be responsible for:

  • Documenting, defining and maintaining requirements in the procurement process.
  • Requirements management, managing all the activities related to the requirements from inception, system development, test, validation, procurement and sustainment phases of the program.
  • Requirements are documented in a formal artifact call a System Performance Specification (SPS)
  • Requirements are identified by the customer and clearly documented for further review with the stakeholders. Conflicts are solved with inputs from all stakeholders.
  • Additional inputs such as use cases are part of the total package that form and support the requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining the risk program during the various stages of the program life-cycle.
  • Risk and opportunity identification, development of mitigation steps, assessing and tracking uncertainties that can affect the program.
  • Coordinating with program personnel schedules for PIR programs and systems
  • Integrated Product Team (IPT) member, participation in numerous regularly scheduled meetings

Skills you will need...

  • Must be able to gain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the required level
  • This position is sitting onsite with government customer
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact within a loosely synchronized team of geographically dispersed individuals
  • Must be task oriented
