Axient is seeking a Requirement Engineer to support our customer in Huntsville, AL.
What you will do...
The PIR requirements engineer will be responsible for:
Documenting, defining and maintaining requirements in the procurement process.
Requirements management, managing all the activities related to the requirements from inception, system development, test, validation, procurement and sustainment phases of the program.
Requirements are documented in a formal artifact call a System Performance Specification (SPS)
Requirements are identified by the customer and clearly documented for further review with the stakeholders. Conflicts are solved with inputs from all stakeholders.
Additional inputs such as use cases are part of the total package that form and support the requirements.
Developing and maintaining the risk program during the various stages of the program life-cycle.
Risk and opportunity identification, development of mitigation steps, assessing and tracking uncertainties that can affect the program.
Coordinating with program personnel schedules for PIR programs and systems
Integrated Product Team (IPT) member, participation in numerous regularly scheduled meetings
Skills you will need...
Must be able to gain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the required level
This position is sitting onsite with government customer
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
0-3 years of experience
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate and interact within a loosely synchronized team of geographically dispersed individuals
