Axient is seeking a Software Engineer to provide technical support for our customer in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Evaluate the software of multiple systems for adherence to requirements and sound design practices.
Monitor the software development activities and report anomalies, risk areas, and provide suggestions for corrective action.
Review software development documentation to assess adherence to program technical requirements.
Assess development schedules to evaluate reasonableness and approach.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Must be have / be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
Knowledge of agile software development in support of DoD programs is required.
Knowledge and experience in software design, development, test, and project management is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.
Minimum of 10 years of experience. (additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
Knowledge of systems engineering principles, software best practices, agile development, and project management of missile systems development is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Army radars / weapon systems is highly desirable.
Frequent travel (25%) to contractor and test sites is required
