Overview

Axient is seeking a Senior Equipment Custodian to support our customer at Eglin AFB, FL. 

Responsibilities

  • The contractor should be able to perform government IT equipment custodian duties within the EBD division. 
  • The Equipment Custodian shall be able to conduct an initial equipment inventory with the incumbent custodian upon assignment. 
  • The custodian must be able to manage inventory through the year and ensure computers and accessories are available for newcomers, to include providing assistance to procure new equipment when warranties expire. 
  • Be able to know where all equipment is at and who it has been issued to.
  • Be familiar with hardware and software computer setup and able perform minor maintenance on managed equipment. When required, the custodian must coordinate and execute disposal of unserviceable and obsolete equipment through the Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO). 
  • Prepare reports, papers and briefings IAW AFH 33-337 and AFMC communications policies and templates and prepare correspondence IAW AFMAN 33-326.   
  • Maintain appointment calendars and conference room schedules. 
  • Schedule meetings and conferences including those involving staff from outside organizations. 
  • Answer telephones, forwarding messages, and providing responses to routine queries. 
  • Serve as the organization’s travel clerk, using Defense Travel System functions on behalf of traveler IAW the Defense Travel Administrator’s Manual. 
  • Assist with coordination, consolidation, analyses, distribution and monitor action items, suspense and responses for assigned organization level. 
  • Provide inputs and recommendations regarding administrative and office management processes and procedures. 
  • Assist with preparation and updates to program office file management documents. 
  • Prepare agendas, reports and briefings for staff meetings. 
  • Assist with management if organizational workflows. 

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance. 
  • AS degree and 15yrs experience
    • OR BS degree and 10yrs experience
    • OR MS degree and 7yrs experience.
  • Degree program and experience must be relevant.*
