Axient is seeking a Weapons Systems Engineer (Senior PAPE) to support our customer at Eglin AFB, FL
Responsibilities
Will apply theoretical and practical knowledge of weapon systems engineering to the DoD acquisition process.
Review and evaluate armament programs portfolio
Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations
Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives.
Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies.
Conduct cost analysis
Provide proposal analysis support
Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have been approved and entered into a system requirements baseline (functional, allocated, and product).
Qualifications
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
MS degree + 15yrs;
Or, PhD + 5yrs
Degree program must be ABET accredited and relevant; Experience must be relevant.
Possess knowledge and experience in the development of explosive specifications, build and safety procedures, and qualification plans.
Knowledge and experience is required in the analysis and test of explosive material to assess explosive performance and conformance to requirements.
Knowledge of the evolving requirements surrounding insensitive munitions is also required.
