Overview

Axient is seeking a Sr. Procurement Compliance Specialist to support our corporate office in Huntsville, AL. 

Responsibilities

  • With limited direction, this position is responsible for performing procurement analysis to ensure compliance to regulations, contractual requirements and Company policy.
  • Performs Procurement and Subcontract File Reviews (prior to and after award) across all dollar levels and contract types to assess compliance with Government requirements, laws, regulations and company policies. Communicates findings and deficiencies to the Buyer, Subcontract Administrator and Procurement Managers in a way that fosters teamwork.
  • Analyzes data and situations and aid Procurement Managers in developing solutions to complex problems.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends and recommend areas for process improvement; may develop new standards or techniques as required.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation and audit policies, procedures and associated documentation.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance with appropriate statutes, regulations and Company practices.
  • May participate in the selection, development and training of staff.
  • Supports DCMA CPSR and related Small Business Program audits.
  • Supports Procurement Managers in development and updates of procurement policy and procedures to ensure that the company’s practices are in compliance with Government and Public Law Requirements while maintaining an efficient procurement system.
  • Compiles data for and submits monthly FFATA (Executive Compensation) Reporting per FAR 52.204-10.
  • Support Axient Small Business Program including preparing semi-annual reports and writing small business plans for proposals.
  • Prepare government/customer flowdown documents to communicate terms and conditions to suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and ten or more years of progressive professional contracting and/or procurement compliance experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Strong knowledge of government contract and procurement principles contained in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) and the ability to research regulatory requirements of customer contracts and coordinate as appropriate with company Contracts staff.
  • Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the DCMA CPSR and Small Business Program audit compliance guidelines.
  • Prior experience participating in DCMA CPSR audits.
  • Strong analytical and compliance auditing background. Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Excel and Word is a must.
  • While working in a highly regulated environment must have a strong personal commitment to ethics and integrity in all tasks including internal/external compliance and audit actions.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to see beyond the regulations. Understand the customer needs and why, recommend or present solutions as required.
  • Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus.
  • Experience writing Small Business Plans and compliance report is desired.
  • Prior experience supporting DCMA Small Business Program audits is a plus.
