Overview

The Deputy PM will focus primarily on Business Development and Competitive Intelligence for GSA MA-IDIQ Portfolio within Axient’s IDIQ PMO. This position will support corporate operations and directly report to the Axient IDIQ PMO.

Responsibilities

This position requires an initiative-taking individual who independently supports and works closely with pursuit teams for a wide range of professional services across all DoD and Civilian agencies with a primary focus on our GSA MA-IDIQ Portfolio. Responsibilities include the research, analysis and competitive landscape of large scale, complex business opportunities consistent with the organization's long range strategic planning goals. This position is integral as a collaborator who can also work independently, coordinate projects, develop and learn new skills, and maintain communication with various stakeholders while working on multiple simultaneous projects. You should love to research, analyze, present data, and predict market growth trends to guide win strategies.

 

The primary responsibilities encompass knowledge management, research, and analysis.

  • Analyze the GSA Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) market for each GSA APEX (legacy FEDSIM and Regional GSA AAS), federal customers, and competitor information.
  • Develop and maintain highly effective relationships with the government contract management offices and industry partners that drive growth.
  • Provide Strategic Guidance by helping improve probability of win by providing guidance on acquisition strategy to BD and capture teams utilizing deep knowledge & understanding of GSA IDIQ programs.
  • Actively coordinate with the sales organization to ensure contract compliance in accordance with Federal regulations as managed and defined by the FAR
  • Independently formulate and refine timely data analytics to capture managers, pursuit teams, and other Sr. level officials.
  • Implement industry best practices for tracking and reporting for contract-related metrics.
  • Support strategic planning efforts to assist in market growth by evaluating and clearly articulating opportunities and trends that align to Axient’s capabilities within the GSA MA-IDIQ Portfolio.
  • Research and analyze data relative to our competitive presence and assist with identifying opportunities for growth, to include emerging markets.
  • Support development of market and competitive landscape information and tools to be utilized in assessments, capture activities and strategy development.
  • Access various open sources to aggregate news and other related content with the intent of producing and maintaining a current view of the competitive landscape.
  • Reviews strategies and approaches for alignment with pursuit strategy, collaborates effectively to articulate Axient’s differentiators, and provides clear and concise summaries and recommendations to our pursuit teams.
  • Manage market and competitor research and analysis requests that may support account planning, portfolio strategies and capture activities.
  • Conduct standard, periodic analyses and reports on key customers and top competitors.
  • Support the account planning process, providing analyses and insights on market trends, customer buying habits and competitor strategies.
  • Develop and maintain internal databases and websites, as well as support development of external factsheets and other collateral marketing initiatives.
  • Lead/support IDIQ PMO initiatives such as coaching, training, and collaboration with a focus on GSA MA-IDIQs.
  • Collaborate with Axient growth team to refine process and procedures to maximize efficiencies and ROI for GSA MA-IDIQs.
  • Encourage standardization and consistency across PMOs by leveraging standard tools, processes, and procedures.
     

Qualifications

  • Highly organized, meticulous, works independently, and must be a team player.
  • Ability to collaborate across the entire growth team to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills including persuasive writing skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Experience in strategy, market research, data analytics, and competitive intelligence in the federal marketplace.
  • Strong analysis, data visualization and presentation skills with experience and proficiency using SharePoint, Microsoft 365, PowerBI, or other relevant tools.
  • Ability to develop tools to analyze competitors and provide actionable intelligence and insights.
  • Ability to anticipate future trends from various resources and quickly extract key insights to inform business decisions including bid/no bid decisions and other gate reviews.
  • Experience using common competitive intelligence research and analysis tools (Bloomberg Government [BGov], FPDS-NG, USASpending.org, Deltek/GovWin) and other business intelligence resources.
  • Travel may be required, around 10%.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Additional Desired Skills/Attributes:

  • Relevant experience with the full business development lifecycle of contracts and task orders.
  • Relevant experience performing market/competitor research, data analysis, and/or competitive intelligence for large scale, complex opportunities under GSA MA-IDIQs such as MAS, OASIS, Alliant, and/or ASTRO.
  • Relevant experience in performing cost analysis to support pricing strategies related to specific IDIQ pursuits.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree + minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
