Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Support NSWC Dahlgren with Radar threat simulation development, modeling and simulation, system performance predictions, and data analysis.
The candidate will be working on US Navy radar systems and will support modeling and simulation efforts to predict system performance to achieve the overall Navy mission effectiveness.
- Support projects in radar systems, electromagnetic propagation, control systems, and/or signal processing
- Modeling and simulation, performance analysis, or software development
- Support the generation of new threat trajectories in a Radar Common Interface Framework (RCIF) compatible format
- Update SPY-6 waveforms and search design to support new mission requirements
- Update RCIF python code to support required mission engineering study aspects
- Participate in benchmarking activities for RCIF radar models and run RCIF Radar models
- Perform analysis on radar scenario results
- Work with high fidelity threat simulations
- Support radar design tradeoffs for mission support, with the ability to take an existing radar and make software changes to support a challenging threat (i.e., update search volume, waveforms, track initiation logic, etc.)
Travel will be up to 5%
