SEG is seeking a Sensors and Signature Technical Group Lead to support our customer in Columbia MD

What you will do...

SEG supports the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by performing missile threat engineering and supporting weapon system development activities.  The Sensors and Signatures technical group is under the Chief Engineer (TDE) and is principally responsible for the development of sensor models and the signatures required to stimulate community sensor models and stimulation systems, and the associated subject matter expertise.  TDES works closely with the Vehicle Modeling (TDEV) technical group to develop of signatures for various platforms. TDES also collaborates with the modeling and simulation (TDAM) and advanced development (TDAA) technical groups to ensure that TDEV models and simulations and compatible with SEG’s simulation products and frameworks, and to inform needed updates in the simulations and frameworks. TDES sensor models are used to test and validate the TDAM-developed software products and to perform a wide range of sensor-system analysis to support the design and development of community sensors.

The technical group lead (TGL) is responsible for the overall success of the technical group.  Success is measured by the cost-effective development and delivery of technical products as well as the expansion of technical capabilities and support for new work opportunities.

The TGL works with the Technical Director (TD) to understand and influence SEG, Navy Business Unit, Defense Systems Segment, and Axient corporate strategy.  They develop technical roadmaps for areas of responsibility, guided by the TD’s mission.  TGLs collaborate with growth and program teams to support new pursuits, POM cycles, and SOW development, as well as propose and lead internal research and development (IRAD) efforts.  They execute customer-funded tasks and also lead the technical development teams to meet and exceed customer needs while executing the technical roadmaps and achieving the TD mission.
